Windows XP Build 2498 is a Build of Windows XP. The supposed Professional SKU of this build was shared on BetaArchive on 2011-04-28,[1] then it was referred to on 2018-08-30 as it turned out to be the Home Edition SKU instead.[2] The real ISO of the former SKU eventually surfaced on 2020-10-24.[3]

Setup of the Home Edition SKU allows an upgrade from the Professional SKU of an earlier build. However, in the OOBE, the user will be asked for their name. Additionally, the default theme is set to Windows Classic.
