Desktop Window Manager (known as DWM) is the successor to the Desktop Composition Engine, used starting from Windows Longhorn build 4066. It was used to render visual effects such as Aero transparency in Windows Vista and 7. Despite the visual effects being removed in 8, it still works to render Windows.

Using PowerMenu

To make sure using Transparency, Right click on the Title Bar and Point to Transparency, Choose the Percentage such as 50% or 20%.

This will be Applied for Windows 8/8.1 & Windows 10.
